It has come to our attention that a member of the Red Snapper team has circulated a message on a social media platform stating West Midlands Police shared services has discontinued progressing direct applications from former and retired police officers to be directly hired by the force.
This is not the case. West Midlands Police are progressing current and future direct applications from former and retired officers to be employed directly by the force on fixed term contracts.
The West Midlands Police direct hire process is separate and distinct from the Red Snapper Group process to hire agency workers with investigative skill sets on behalf of West Midlands police.
On behalf the business I would like to apologise to the force and all the applicants with applications in progress for creating confusion in this matter.
